I have often been asked about flag poles for nobori flags, getting them locally seems impossible and getting them sent from japan costs a fortune!
Through some trial and error I have developed these simple adaptors so you can make your own!
What you’ll need:
3 × 1m lengths of Aluminium Tube 16mm OD, 1.6mm walls (12.8mm ID) - Capral Sells these
OR
3 × 1m lengths of Aluminium Tube 16mm OD, 1.6mm walls (12.8mm ID) - Bunnings sells these but they’re significantly less sturdy than the 1.6mm
A base of your choice - if its going into dirt/ grass you can just push the pole into the ground. Cable tie it to a gazebo or fence post. Most flag pole spikes, weighted bases etc will fit inside the 16mm Tube
These are 3D Printed out of PETG for extra temperature and UV resistance!
Annoyingly Auspost shipping is $10 flat rate but if you grab a sticker or flag etc it’ll all be in the same satchel!
